Job Description
Join Havertys as a Senior Financial Analyst, reporting directly to the Assistant Vice President, Financial Planning & Analysis. In this role, you will support and interact with key business leaders by providing financial modeling, analysis, reporting, and presentation support that enables data-driven decision-making.
Your responsibities will include developing analyses that offer insights to enable data-driven decision-making by leaders. You will refine, design, and construct financial models, reports, and presentations to aid in internal planning and budgeting processes. It is essential to understand key metrics and utilize financial information to achieve targeted financial goals.
Candidates must exhibit strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities, a strategic mindset, exceptional communication skills, and maintain the highest level of professionalism. This role requires working within a small team environment and collaborating with leaders from both accounting and other organizational departments to support overall objectives. Additionally, you will participate in the development of financial disciplines, modeling, and analysis, including planning and data requirements
Location: Position works from the Havertys Furniture Home Office located at 780 Johnson Ferry Rd. NE, Atlanta, GA 30342 four to five days per week.
Salary: The compensation is competitive with industry standards.
This is your Opportunity to:
- Monitor and maintain company forecasts and analyze forecast results to reflect current operating conditions.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of financial reports, models, and presentations.
- Prepare monthly and annual executive reviews of the budget and forecast, including detailed variance, bridge, trend, run-rate, and one-time event analysis.
- Recommend, develop, and implement actionable, repeatable analytic reporting that interprets financial performance and business trends.
- Support the annual budget and monthly forecast process with detailed analytics, financial recommendations, and ad hoc reporting.
- Collaborate with accounting and cross-functional leaders to support organizational goals and strengthen financial planning disciplines.

Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required; master’s degree is a plus but not required.
- 5–7 years of experience in accounting, budgeting, or financial planning and analysis.
- Strong knowledge of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flows.
- Self-managed approach to progress and deliverables with a high degree of accountability and urgency.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities, strategic mindset, attention to detail, and professional communication skills.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to present financial information to Executive Management and the Board of Directors.
- Experience with IBM Planning Analytics, Microsoft Power BI, or Infor CloudSuite Financials is a plus.
Work Environment:
- Corporate office environment working closely with finance, accounting, and cross-functional business leaders.
- This role supports internal planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and ad hoc financial analysis needs.
