SUMMARY

Havertys Furniture is hiring a Branch Manager 

The Branch Manager will provide support to the General Manager to ensure the daily store operation is consistent with our culture & core values. The Branch Manager is responsible for all areas and aspects of the Havertys Branch furniture retail business including, but not limited to, sales goals, store operations, customer service, the office operations, delivery/backroom, human resources, purchasing, and merchandising. Each Store Manager receives training in each function area so that he/she is familiar with and has working knowledge of each area. The Store Manager functions as a sales leader and coach to all staff members. 

 

Job Requirements

REQUIREMENTS

Education and/or Experience                                               

  • Four-year degree with Business major is preferred; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Leads store managerial decisions, daily operations, and associate supervision.
  • Will work as a retail sales person on the floor and develop the necessary selling skills such as client development, customer relations and follow up.
  • Learns Havertys In-Home Design process.
  • Manages and administers Havertys sales support platform and customer relationship management tool.  
  • Leads daily skills practice with Sales Associates.
  • Encourages and motivates sales team members.
  • Manages the sales associate GROW PLAN process.
  • Learns and assists office team members with processing all sales related paperwork and procedures.
  • Receives training the leads all areas of recruiting, hiring, placing, disciplining, and termination of employees. Works with General manager and participates in the talent selection and placement process.
  • Assists the General Manager in review, forecast, and planning of store budgets.
  • Assists General Manager with merchandising of furniture and accessories on the sales floor.
  • Assists General Manager in receiving transfers from Havertys Distribution Centers and getting trucks out for delivery.
  • Must occasionally lift and /or move more than 30 - 150 pounds.
