Based on our successful growth, Havertys Furniture is opening a New Store in Webster, Texas.  We are excited to be returning to the Houston market and are planning to grow within the Houston area!

Our store location: 1519 W Bay Area Rd, Webster, Texas 77598.

Havertys is hiring a Display Coordinator to assist in ensuring a fresh and appealing showroom according to corporate merchandising guidelines. This role has a direct impact on the visualization of a Havertys showroom with a focus on product display and floor plan organization to ensure an exceptional customer experience.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Arranges and presents merchandise on showroom floor based on a best seller report.
  • Plans for new merchandise and works with store manager to remove or mark down floor sampled furniture.
  • Transfers in new furniture and accessories based on plan for placement.
  • Marks down, appropriately displays and marks down inactive or aged accessories.
  • Maintains rug racks with current rugs according to the current schematic.
  • Coordinates and displays accessories and accent pieces based on Visual Merchandising Standards. Maintains the accessory tiered fixtures with the appropriate accessories.
  • Completes Display Coordinator Weekly Checklist and reviews with Display Manager and/or General Manager.
  • Maintains the correlated linens on bedroom furniture and styles according to the Top of Bed Guidelines provided by corporate.
  • Responsible for tagging all accessories and furniture according to Merchandise Tagging Guidelines from corporate.
  • Maintains the accessory pillow fixtures based on the correlated schematic from corporate.
  • Follow the accessory correlations for all furniture categories.
  • Maintain the 36” walkways throughout our store for safety and customer convenience.
  • Hangs artwork according to the Wall Décor Guidelines provided by corporate.
  • Must gain a working knowledge of our internal systems including: MSC (My Sales Center), HVTnet, and Office 365.
  • May be required to provide administrative and/or housekeeping support.

May also perform Office duties:

  • Balances cash fund every morning and evening
  • Completed opening/closing procedure checklists daily
  • Prepares reconciles bank deposits
  • Processes customers' sales and payments accurately
  • Maintains an organized and secure office environment
  • Answers incoming calls, distributes calls/messages, manages stores voicemail
  • Handles customer complaints, initiates and follows up on existing customer service tickets
  • Reviews Outstanding Customer Transactions
    • Verifies scheduled deliveries are in the appropriate status to be routed
    • Schedules deliveries
    • Ensures POs are present for out of stock product
    • Contacts customers when products have arrived locally for pickup
  • Files and/or prepares daily paperwork

Education and/or Experience

A minimum of six months to one year of related experience and/or training is required. 2+ years of retail display experience is desired.

Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent educational knowledge is preferred.

Computer Skills

Knowledge of inventory software is desired. Experience with Outlook and MS Office (Word and Excel) is required. Must be willing to learn proprietary software.
