Job Description

Pay: Starting at $18.50 per hour, based on experience. 

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8am to 4:45pm 

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

• Responsible for unloading materials and merchandise from vendor, common carrier and company-owned trucks.
• Responsible for the safe operation of at least one specific form of powered material handling equipment.
• Responsible for the safe and proper storage of furniture and materials within the racking systems.
• Responsible for proper handling of materials and merchandise to minimize the potential for damage and injury.
• Responsible for adherence to company policies including safety and the use of personal protective equipment.
• Responsible for maintaining a clean and clear work environment, free from trip hazards.
• May perform inventory reconciliation counting.
• May perform building maintenance functions.
• Must help maintain the upkeep of lifts and tugger equipment.
• May help with customer pick-ups and loading merchandise into customer’s vehicle

Job Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

• Heavy lifting required.
• Must be able to lift and carry furniture safely.
• Must follow all Havertys safety and distribution policies and procedures.
• Must have passed the “Havertys Operator Training Course” specific to the equipment operated.
