Shipping Assembly

Job Description

MAJOR FUNCTION

The major function of a shipping assembler is to properly assemble all products that will be shipped out for home delivery or used for display at one of our retail stores.  Care must be taken to insure the products are assembled safely, without damage, and in accordance with the manufactures specifications. 

SPECIFIC DUTIES

• Un-carton/unwrap furniture and inspect for defects and damage
• Responsible for accurately recording  the assembly time of every SKU assembled during the day.
• Responsible for the properly assembly of knocked-down merchandise
• Responsible for the proper handling and care of the merchandise
• Responsible for ensuring the proper torque is applied to all nuts and bolts
• Responsible for the proper use of air powered tools
• Responsible maintaining a clean and organized work space
• Maintain productivity level on a daily bases

Job Requirements

REQUIREMENTS

• Heavy lifting required   
• Experienced with using hand tools
• Must be able to lift up to 150 lbs repeatedly through out the day
• Must complete and understand all company sponsored safety programs
