Pay: $45,000+ depending on experience 

Schedule: Overnight, Sunday - Thursday, 9:00pm – Completion 

 

 

This is your Opportunity to: 

  • Support the entire Receiving Department, including assisting with the day-to-day receiving functions. 
  • Recruit, hire, and train qualified personnel. 
  • Provide ongoing coaching and development of the staff. 
  • Ensure that staff is functioning at optimum levels and maintain departmental standards. 
  • Train and supervise lift operators and material movers. 
  • Supervise all aspects of the warehouse department workflow, including stocking racks with merchandise and pulling merchandise off racks for scheduled deliveries. 
  • Ensure accurate tagging of product being pulled and put away. 
  • Responsible for maintenance of all powered material handling equipment, including ensuring battery apparatus are in working condition. 
  • Responsible for training and certification/recertification for all equipment operators. 
  • Give work directions, resolve problems, prepare schedules, and set deadlines to ensure timely completion of work. 
  • Responsible for the condition and placement of product in the storage area. 
  • Coordinate activities of the department with related activities of other departments to ensure efficiency and economy. 
  • Responsible for cleanliness of storage areas, including the racking system. 
  • Plan and facilitate department safety initiatives, including creating a work environment conducive to safe operations, rewarding associates for safe work practices, and communicating the importance of workplace safety via monthly meetings and individual reviews of associate performance. 
  • Create reports, records, and directives, and confer with other supervisors to obtain data required for aiding in planning activities, such as new commitments, status of work in progress, and problems encountered. 
  • Assist in the process of associate hiring, promotion, discharge, transfer, and vacation planning. 

 

Earning Opportunity: 

  • Salary starts at $45,000+ depending on experience.

Job Requirements


Qualifications: 

  • Previous management experience. 
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule. 
  • College degree a plus. 
  • Outstanding communication skills (both oral and written). 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. 
  • Must be self-motivated and results-driven. 
  • Ability to work in a team environment. 
  • Multi-variable problem-solving skills, make key decisions under tight time constraints. 
  • Ability to think “outside the box,” initiate and implement change. 

 

Work Environment: 

  • Warehouse setting: must wear proper Havertys-provided uniforms, steel-toed work boots/shoes required, safety gear when applicable. 
  • Overnight, Sunday - Thursday, 9:00pm – Completion 

 

Physical Demands: 

  • Must successfully complete a physical assessment to be considered for the position. 
  • You must be able to stand for extended periods and operate various equipment, such as cherry pickers and clamp trucks. Responsibilities include moving furniture from racks and unloading and loading trucks.
